Timber Industry Waste: Wood Offcuts

IMG 0005 Copy scaled 1

Furniture workshops and timber factories frequently produce offcuts—pieces of wood trimmed off during production that are too small or irregular to use in large-scale manufacturing. These are often burned or discarded despite being durable and beautiful materials.

Our Response:

  • We collect hardwood offcuts and smaller timber blocks from partner workshops, ensuring they are non-toxic and suitable for crafting.
  • We deconstruct composite waste pieces (e.g., glued or nailed pieces) to retrieve clean timber.
  • Each piece is sanded, reshaped, and redesigned to serve a new purpose, respecting the grain, texture, and imperfections of the wood.
  • Reconstructed items include:
    • Desk organizers and pen stands
    • DIY creative kits for kids
    • Wall hangers and mini-shelves
    • Artistic sculptures and craft display pieces

This approach not only saves valuable hardwoods from waste but also celebrates craftsmanship and raw material honesty.
