Furniture workshops and timber factories frequently produce offcuts—pieces of wood trimmed off during production that are too small or irregular to use in large-scale manufacturing. These are often burned or discarded despite being durable and beautiful materials.
Our Response:
- We collect hardwood offcuts and smaller timber blocks from partner workshops, ensuring they are non-toxic and suitable for crafting.
- We deconstruct composite waste pieces (e.g., glued or nailed pieces) to retrieve clean timber.
- Each piece is sanded, reshaped, and redesigned to serve a new purpose, respecting the grain, texture, and imperfections of the wood.
- Reconstructed items include:
- Desk organizers and pen stands
- DIY creative kits for kids
- Wall hangers and mini-shelves
- Artistic sculptures and craft display pieces
This approach not only saves valuable hardwoods from waste but also celebrates craftsmanship and raw material honesty.
